Nancy Ball Bio

Nancy Ball

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1998 from Notre Dame College of Ohio. I have taught sixth grade for the past thirteen years at St. Gregory the Great School in South Euclid, Ohio (now Sacred Heart of Jesus Academy). I am the mother of twenty-nine and twenty-three year old daughters, as well as a twenty-six year old son. As a teacher, former Girl Scout leader for eight years, a past peer mediation moderator, and current ski club advisor at my school, I have always been interested in empowerment opportunities for girls. GEMS is as much of a growth experience for me as it is for my girls.

Mrs. Ball, I think you are by far the teacher or person that has taught me on what to do with fights and how to get through them.

Hi Mrs. Ball, I just wanted to say thank you and that I’m so glad I had you as my teacher last year. You helped me deal with some things, and I owe you one.

Hi mom! I just wanted to say that I am so proud of what you and Lauren are doing…I really think feminism needs to reach beyond its typical demographic of college educated women and reach out to young girls as well…starting with early empowerment! You both are doing extremely important and wonderful work. I love you mama.
