Grade 7 GEMS Girls Show Off Their Acting Abilities

Maggie, Karly and Sam are honest with Emma about her hairstyle.The 7th Grade GEMS girls performed skits to show that they know the difference between Conformity and Community, Manipulation and Respect, and Phoniness and Genuineness.  We have had great discussions the past two sessions about these words and what they mean. The girls then took their knowledge and created skits to illustrate these differences.  They did an excellent job!  I am very proud of these girls. Mary narrates as Carolyn and Emily have a falling out when Carolyn decides to speak her mind.

    i cant wait to be in gems and i really cant wait until the gems sleep over!!!! with this program, i hope many many many girls lives will be changed. i once was a bully and i once was a target and i did speak my mind, ALOT! sometimes i had to stop my self from doing that but it was really hard to. i knew i might hert some one so now i keep my thoughts to my self! thnx mrs. ball for helping me keep my cool! :P

    I absolutely love the skits we do! And that picture of Carolyn is just amazing! Describes her so much :) haha!

    You’re very welcome. I am impressed with how much you want to be a GEM. It takes a lot of hard work to maintain friendships and treat others with respect, but I know that GEMS will help. See you at the meetings:D

    hi mrs.ball!! i LOVED being in gems… but im upset that i didnt make it to our last meeting!!! i completely forgot about it when i didnt go to school that day. but i definately had fun the time i was there! i also wanted to thank you for everything you’ve done… for me personnally and for just everything including gems!!;)
