The 8th grade GEMS girls taught the 3rd graders about standing up to a bully. The girls read the book My Secret Bully by Trudy Ludwig and discussed the questions at the back of the book. The 3rd graders were very insightful and the 8th graders did a great job of leading the discussion. At the end of the session, the 3rd graders had a chance to role play with the 8th graders. Everyone had fun and the 3rd graders got some great advice on How to Stop a Bully!

wow…”how to stop a bully” is a really good book. I have never read it before gems, and im glad i got a chance to.

having the lesson with the third graders was a blast! i thought it was hysterical how all the girls wanted anna g’s role as the busdriver in the skit we performed
they really seemed to get a lot out of it, and the book we read was pretty good, too!!
